Ok starting at the beginning.

1st- gps would not connect or work then started working again. After that the backup assistant stopped working.

2nd- replacement came in, started setting it up. Couldn't change the ringtone. So now im getting another piece of crap to swap out for my current crap. So still stuck with first one.

3rd- im now having problems with full signal and 3g but browser does nothing. Locks up a bit. Try to move an app and it leaves or moves the outline of the app(where you stretch it) No signal. My father inlaw has an LG ally and he will be full and 3g and ill have maybe 1 with 1x.

I love the phone but the multiple problems are pushing to another one. What to do?

Get Another Droid X

If it's under warranty, I'd keep going for a new one. You didn't agree to buy a defective phone, did you? As you keep returning them, Motorola will see that there are problems. What they will do about them - who knows, but at least they are giving you new phones. Don't let them off the hook.

Well, why would you need backup assistant? That's Verizon's problem, not the phone and you really don't need it it's a Google phone. GPS sometimes will have issues, stuff happens.

I don't know about your ringtone issues I use my own MP3's and ringdroid for ringtones. It's free in the Market.

So when your Father in Law is at your house do you see this or does this happen anywhere? Maybe root and put in a new radio would help but I agree if the LG is getting 3G you should too. Different phones do get signals differently because they don't have the same radio.

Maybe you're not a Droid person too. It isn't for everyone. I have the D2 which is similar to the X and I don't have any radio issues, at least not in my area. GPS never works in my house but when I get in my garage and fire up my navigator it never fails. Ultimately it's your decision, and if your 30 days has already gone by all you can do is get another X.

Just in case……if you are using a task killer or antivirus, get rid of them. That may be your issue right there.

I went with a Fascinate. So far no problems. The speaker phone is way way louder so it actually work the way a "SPEAKER" phone should, LOUD. The graphics are way better, uses less battery, and is easier to use one handed. Now I did love my X but what do you do when either the phones Im getting are crap, or the Motorola brand is spiraling downward. Oh well, Ill keep it til I have problems then Ill buy the iphone. I know there is no customizations like the a droid but I know that I wont have any problems.
