Should I Go Back???

my wife has the eris and I think is cheap dont like sense ui and call quality sucks. the moto compared to the incredible as far as build quality goes is no comaprison the moto will outlast the incred 10 fold,the moto as far as hardware is not that far off from the incred it is not like oh my god the incredible it blows away the moto droid. Listen if you just got the phone and did not get it out of contract then good for you ,your preference but my prob is for the people who dropped moto droid and spent 400 to 500 dollars on supposedly upgradeing to the incred just utterly silly and falling for what the cell phone companies what you to do spend more money on tiny upgrades

Why does everyone say the moto is a better build? Because it is heavy and made of metal? That does not necessarily mean it is better quality. As far as call quality it is not even close! The HTC blows the droid away!My droid had the worst call quality out of any cell phone I have ever had! Your wife has the Eris? The eris is not the incredible!

lol "the htc blows the droid" now you are really a fanboy listen my opnion and alot of other peoples opnion that the moto droid overall is better thats all I have to say

Really?

Are you two immature enough to actually post that nonsense?

Inc.>droid.
no discusion htc has it all over moto. i love my droid, the incredible spanks in in every way. as far as "plastic phone" whatever i had a samsung i910 omnia before the droid its a "plastic phone" it lasted a little over a year until i sold it on ebay for $250. the droid as much as i loved it was replaced 4 times since november with the same treatment as that "plastic phone". i have had to pay asurion $89 twice and got vzw to warranty it the other 2 times but it just didnt survive falls even with the bodyglove case on. that was the main reason i switched to the inc.

I for one returned the Droid Incredible for my Droid. My situation is different because the "upgrade" of going from the Droid to the Incredible was incremental. I wanted to save my upgrade for a far superior upgrade like the speculated Droid 2. I wrote a thread about the reason why I went back. Here it is:

http://www.droidforums.net/forum/mo...ble-going-back-motorola-droid.html#post452242

I hope that helps.

I gave moto one last chance, i have broken every moto i ever owned and the droid was no exception so i will probably not get another moto phone (unless the droid 2 comes out packin a mobile i7 quad core whatever with at least 2 gigs ram, not)

Hmm, this is actually the reason I went for the Incredible. While all of the other perks that it offers is great, the actual phone quality is the reason that I dumped the Droid. The phone was horrendous, the worst that I've owned in over 15 years of owning cell phones. I loved everything else, but that was a big enough issue to cause me to change.

The Incredible has been perfect in that area.

Amazing that so many people can look at the same thing and have such different views. Some people love it, some people hate it. Almost strange.

Here we go again. The dysfunctional attitude of in order for my device to win, the other device has to lose. How bout you just enjoy the device you have, and stop talking about the device you don't? Their both android phones, it doesn't matter, which one you have.

"My red Iphone is greater then your blue Iphone!"............bah..........worthless talk.

I find your post utterly nonsensical, EVERYONE knows that a red iphone is faster than a blue one.... ;p

The show that never gets canceled....

<scene 1>
The sky is crisp, blue, hurts the eyes. The road is dirt, dusty. The old wooden town stretches a 1/4 mile down both sides of the road

At one end of the road we see our villain, long overcoat rippling in the breeze. He is walking down the wooden sidewalk in front of the Ye Olde Accessories Store.

Tumbleweeds blow down the road.

Half way down the street we see our hero. He locks eyes with the villain and they both, as if on cue, head to the center of the street.

Texters everywhere scatter, taking cover.

Waah wah wah....doo doo doooo

As the villain and hero square off, their hands hover near their holsters then suddenly each draw at almost the same time, with the hero whipping out his <insert your phone name here> just a second before the villain pulls out his <insert other phone-that-you-don't-own here>

They both aim...

</scene 1>

The camera scrolls out and up to the sun putting funky nested octagon shapes on the screen that we never see in real life. As the scene fades text appears saying, "to be continued..."

To the OP. It is all preference..period!!!! I have had both and prefer the HTC. They are both very similar phones because they both run Android 2.1. If you like heavy phones with a physical keyboard then go for the Droid. If you prefer lighter thinner phones without a keyboard go for the HTC. It's that simple!! The droid is built like a tank and made of mostly metal which makes it quite heavy but probably pretty durable. Most dislike the physical keyboard due to it's flat keys which make it difficult to type on. The HTC has better call quality IMO and is definitely not cheap feeling at all. If you made the HTC battery cover metal instead of plastic it is almost the same thing as the Droid. This would also make it a lot heavier!!!!

There are several vids on youtube comparing the 2 side by side that might help out. Battery life is similar but probably a little better on the Droid. The HTC is faster!!! The screens are comparable but in the side by side vids the HTC looks better in my opinion. They are both great phones and you can't go wrong with either!!!!

I would never start a thread asking anybody whether or not I should switch phones. It never goes well. And whatever area you put it in will be slightly biased towards the phone that the thread is for.

And I will say not everyone is bias, there have been many post that state the obvious: Pick the phone that is right for you and that they are both great solid phones.

Remember the signal bars are not the true measure of strength...If you are dropping calls or they are not clear you do have a problem, my ringer is quite loud in fact it's not turned up all the way because of it. There is a chance you have a defective phone, I'd take it in and maybe they will give you a new one. I like the Incredible but it all comes down to what you like..
