Go for it I had the r2d2 d2 for less than 2 months.
saw the droid global I had to go for it.
glad I made the change but roots are still being implemented .
I love it.
Battery dies pretty fast though, get a charger lol

Think its because its set at 1.2
I have the extended battery and
I talk,text,browse,tethering and go on forums like this and my battery Would go like water.
I would say about 5-8 hours max that being used about 70% of the day.
That's a extended battery!
On my droid 2 hell I could go 10 hours and then some.
Id say go for it its deff better Key board, more responsive and a bit faster.
Don't get the white one, get the dark blue one so when you get the extended battery it wont be mismatch lol.

If u get white it will dirty up and stain and get all nasty blue is beastlier anyways
