Side by side 3G Speedtest of Droid vs DroidX

A colleague recently bought the Droid X and we have been testing his stock phone against my Droid running Buggless Beast 0.6.1.

His 3G speeds are 2.5-3.0x the speed of mine tested at the same place and time with the stock speedtest.net app straight from the market. He regularly gets 1.5Mbps while I get 600Kbps or so.

Is the this the limit of the original droid 3G card or is there anything I can do for this?

You mean on the X or the D1? The X is stock and the D1 is BB 0.6.1. Is there a 3G hack for the D1?

Isnt it debatable wether the D1 3g hack works? It supposedly unlocks your device from throttle. Idk though... Im not much a believer, Its possible it works. I cant really tel on my phone.
