Signal Booster

This is a sour subject for me as I live in a "marginal coverage area". The only device big red offers is the unit that you plug into your high speed internet connection which is fine except that I also live in an area that has no cable or dsl service service. I have Hughes Net, the Satellite ("Quote, Quote high speed that is a tad faster than dial up with such restrictive data caps, I can not even download a movie") but no carrier's device works over the Satellite system.

I have tried the Wilson products in $300. range with an external directional antenna, as well as the Z-Boost in the same price range. They both blow! To get a satisfactory booster you are looking in the $800 range at a minimum.

Yep, I know, I could sell and move to town and be aggravated by the traffic and noise but I would rather be aggravated by this.

There's not much point to signal amplifiers for the average Joe. Repeaters can help but only if you have good coverage outdoors and poor coverage indoors.

Always select your carrier first based on coverage where you need it.
