Simply Stunning X - Coming Soon

I haven't seen SSX yet but I have used all of Chevy's other Roms including a beta of 4.9 for the Original Droid. All I can say is Chevy has a way of knowing what we want our phones to do and making it user Friendly. What ever he puts out will demolish all of the current Roms out there.

I agree with Jolly. On my D1, I tried everything. Nothing came close to SS. Once I tried it, everything else was second best.

I would say that is going to be very hard to do considering the limits that the dev's have to work with because of the bootloader, but you just never know. We will definitely wait and see how this comes out, gota love the customization that he has allowed for in the D1.

Well with all of the work arounds the bootloader has become less of an issue also now that the Droid X 2.2 source code has been released we will see more Roms built from source which will allow for more customization. It may not be in the first release of SSX but we'll see it. Not to mention Chevy is a Dev in the truest sense Android may be a hobby but he writes code for a living so I trust his Roms.

I have to wonder how many Devs Google has sitting around flashing Roms to get ideas for their next Android Release.

They have to. And it's a smart move because they essentially have the android community telling them what they want from the phone. I bet they go through the market seeing what features to incorporate too. Doing that would help keep customers happy. Why else would the make it open source? They release a new Android version a week later someone builds a Rom from it and they have new ideas for the next Android version if they could keep the carriers and hardware manufacturers from locking the devices down we'd see alot more innovations.
