Skyfire 2.0 released

I put it on board, but I like xScope better, and REALLY like having Gary around to help out with any glitches. Best support for any app yet. I could use Skyfire, and enjoy it, but it needs a lil debugging yet. It looks good, though, and it'll have a share as it develops.
I am also curious about the Firefox browser Alpha, Fennec. I'm curious about how tight it'll be....

I'm honestly not even judging it as a full browser. I like the stock browser too much. I only use this for flash video when I come across one. So far I love it for that purpose.

If I WERE to judge the full browser experience, it isn't 100% yet but its really not bad. I honestly think its pretty damn nice for a beta.

Its a beta people :/

Yes it is Beta. We can even invoke the Beta Principle. But just because it is Beta does not mean that it being Beta is why it is not working.

I restored a JRummy backup and it worked. I restored the first of two RedRum 1.2.1 backups and it worked. I restored the RR1.2.1 that it didn't work on and it still didn't work.

Woke up last night with a thought in my head. The ONLY thing I could think of was that on the 1.2.1 that did not work was I went to Spare Parts and put the Launcher in memory. I unchecked that and it worked. Might not work for anyone else, but it worked in my situation.

Wasn't Beta as much as it was me. I am running it as my default browser to see if it will stay there or not.

i tried it out. then immediately uninstalled it.

To expand on my own Skyfire FC issue, there is another thing wihich is really "the thing" and probably more so than the launcher in memory I posted about awhile ago.

Do not get the idea that this is the real deal and uninstall the stock browser. There is almost always another variable and this was it, or at least I now think this is it :).

I have two Red Rum Chaos 1.2.1 backups. One has the stock browser, it is the one that works, and one is the one where I decided I didn't need the stock browser, so I uninstalled it. This is the one I was using when I first downloaded Skyfire, and Skyfire will not work on it. I also had two similar Cyanogen ROM backups that I restored. When I removed the browser, bang, no Skyfire.

Someplace in the reading I did on Skyfire it finally dawned on me that there was something said about Skyfire calling on something in the stock browser. There is also some talk about this issue in Android Froums too.

I'm simply amazed that it's getting any negative reviews at all. What is "buggy" about it, I don't get it. It's faster then the standard browser, at least on my phone it is. It's a little bit different to use then the stock browser. I used it last night for the forum all night and I was able to do everything I can do with the stock browser.

Somebody explain what's buggy. FC's? I haven't seen one. What else?

Interesting. I saw this being discussed earlier, could it be something to do with rooted Droids?

Anybody with stock Droids having issues?

Rooted here with BB 0.9 and OC to 1.25 and only 1 FC so far. Vids play overclocked as well (something that hasn't been working too good for me so far).

Not my default browser yet, but I'm thankin' about it.

I cant even open it, whenever i try to open it, FCs.
Anyone else having this problem?

Im on UltimateDroid 10.0

Im using stock system with my OG browser and skyfire runs fine. I have found a few sites that crash it but notinng major at all.

PPL that are having issues running on stock i would uninstall and reinstall. also keep in mind that this is in beta right now so there is bound to be issues out there.
