Not an alert. Looks to be just to the right of the alert LED. It only comes on when I am signed into skype. Strange.

That red light comes on when I'm on an active phone call, didnt notice it when I used Skype. BTW, my Skype worked great on 3g network, running Perfect Storm 1.2 on a phone to computer call...

i have tried 5 times to down load it and I keep getting "There is a problem parsing the package" My friend who also has a Thunderbolt is haveing the same problem.

so I installed it and signed up on the skype website (which doesn't work in firefox). how to I actually close skype? I always see it in the notification bar now.

You have to sign out in the app. Go to your profile in te app and where you change status you can log out, or if you are in your profile in the app you can hit the menu button on bottom of your phone and then go to log out from there. Its annoying, but it works..

I've used it once on a 3G connection... there were stuttering/pixellation issues, but I have those issues with the person I Skyped with on my computer/cable connection, so I can't lay the blame at the feet of my own mobile connection just yet.

Got it! I see the key is you have tobe calling someone with video. I called the test number and it all lit up:icon_ banana:

Now I went one further, tried Skype while drive home with ford sync, LOL, it showed Skype on dash, but no sound, anyone figure that out yet let me know. It worked just no sound

I had my bluetooth turned on and it came through the speakers in my truck, I had to turn it off (BT) because I didn't want to hear someone else's conversation....but it's good to know it works that way.
