Sleep Mode and Lock Screen

I have a stock GB X2. I put the phone into sleep mode last night and charged it. When I woke up this morning and woke it up, the lock screen doesn't work--it goes straight to the homescreen.

Ive pulled the battery etc

I did some research and didn't find much on this issue. The only "solution" I found is to do a factory reset. Personally, I think that's a crock. But if that's the only solution I'm going to root it.

I have prerooted gingerbread on my d x 2 and I put it on sleep earlier today now I have no lock screen also. Sorry rooted or not still an issue

What a random glitch. I did a factory reset and the lockscreen returned. Also, since the reset, the phone has been a lot quicker. The music popping issue in particular improved dramatically.
