slide out keyboard not working :(

My slide out keyboard randomly stopped working in the middle of a text. Once I finished that text with the touch screen keyboard, I tried again and now it won't work at all. My touch screen one works fine, both diagonally and horizontally, so I'm not too sure what's going on. Please help!

Sounds like hardware failure.

Have you tried restarting the phone? Pulling the battery?

Last option is Factory Data Reset, otherwise its a trip/call to Verizon.
