FWIW, I used to have a slingbox classic. I never had an iPhone, but I got the slingplayer mobile app for my ipod touch 2G. When I installed it, it said something to the effect of "This Slingbox model is not officially supported. You may try to continue anyway at your own risk"
So if I remember correctly, the classic wasn't officially supported then either. And the functionality was definitely limited. That said, it was still capable of changing channels and doing the basics. So if you already have a Slingbox classic, it *may* work even if it isn't officially supported?
