because there's definitely an FM radio service on the phone.

has anyone been able to verify if the hardware is in there?

Just get tunein radio app and most likely you'll find your favorite channels there.

I saw the serivce too, got me thinking why wouldn't they put it in or that mabey that service always runs under gingerbread all the time no matter if the phone is capable of FM service or not but Ill try putting the DROID X .apk to see of that'll work.

So I found an fm radio app that works if anyone wants it

At first I was thinking "What's wrong with this guy? How does he have headphones with square plugs?!"

And then I installed the application. Hahahahaha!

They didn't include it because all most all FM radio stations have a streaming service already.

It's like including a steam engine in a new Ferrari.

If this was indeed true, id imagine they wouldn't even have included all the services within the OS to support fm radio.

lol no kiddding. not all fm stations stream. in fact in some of the less populated cities, none of the stations have a streaming service and the extent of their online presence involves a facebook fan page and that's it.

thanks for uploading the FM app. i was in the process of uploading it when i decided to check the thread and noticed someone had done so! (before my last post that is)
