So much trouble Unlocking Droid 2

Can anyone help me. I want to convert my Verizon contract phone to my Strait talk plan. I have an unlock code I purchased but can not get the screen to come up in order to put it in. I have an ATT sim card and have tried it but no luck. Please help me I'm desperate.

You can't use a SIM card in a CDMA (Verizon) phone.

I have global 2 A 956 from VZN i have tried with to get a code nothing worked, any one have better idea how to get it sim unlocked then i can use it overseas

I tried they gave me 2/ 8 digit number neither worked, they refunded my money . and told me to contact vzw..
