Soft key light disable?

I apologize if this has already been brought up...

I understand having the soft keys on the DROID is nice and everything, but a lot of times I'd like to have them not illuminate at all. Is there an app or something that can disable the soft key illumination?

If not I'm sure there will be. Sounds like it would be pretty simple. It'd like an app that disables those buttons all together when the camera is activated. I am always hitting them on accident when I am trying to take a picture.

check this out. it's working very well for me. Download the Screen Filter app. (free) in the settings, it will give you the option to disable the backlight of the soft keys.
