Soft key lights/brightness - still no fix?

I looked around but just wanted to make sure there still is no way to turn off the soft key lights (or at least dim them significantly). Watching 24 in bed while the wife sleeps is fun but the soft key lights are almost blinding! Kind of annoying.

you want to download the Screen Filter app. (free) in the settings, it will give you the option to disable the backlight of the soft keys.
