Just called Verizon tele sales and they told me I cant order it yet and that they dont know when its going to go onsale. I then told them that motorola said it would be out on the 8th and the lady said it wasnt official until verizon said something.

Someone is Full of BS Verizon or everybody saying they were able to preorder! I have called verizon and spoken to 6 different reps today and every one of them says the same thing The bionic is not in our system yet and they are not allowed to do orders till the phone is on their website! My money is that Verizon is full of it, otherwise why would they have wasted our time with that stupid signup page and never send anything out, but air commercials for the the phone with release date! SMDH!!!!

I'm not the patient type.. I would have loved to have been able to order today and then have it delivered tomorrow.
However, at the end of the day I would have had to wait at home for FedEx.. they never come to my street till 2pm at the earliest.
So I'll head to the store at 10am and have it activated and rolling by 10:30 if all goes well

Have VZW Store Rep Order & Bill Your Account Thursday AM before Opening
I stopped by my local VZW store last night & the rep said that it isn't in their system yet, but that he'd be glad to run the transaction for me Thursday morning before the store opens so my phone will be held for me & I don't have to worry about them running out.
I've nagged the sales guys at the local store for over 2 months now & they've got at least a half dozen customers they're processing Bionic orders prior to the store officially opening Thursday morning.
The phone gets billed to my monthly VZW bill (as opposed to immediate credit/debit card transaction) & put in a bag with my name on it & the phone can't be sold to anyone else at that point. Later in the day Thursday I swing by the store & pick up my bag & click through the *228 activation process, etc.
If you're a bit worried about inventory levels, stop by your store today & see if they'll "bill & hold" one for you Thursday.

I haven't gotten anything yet. No email confirmation or anything. I know the order went through, because my NE2 upgrade date changed to 5/2013, but other than that, my account shows no indication of the order.

Now I'm pissed. I made this thread yesterday literally after I spoke to the rep. Gave her my credit card number and everything and she said I was all set. I just called tonight to confirm, and I am told that all I am scheduled for is a "phone call" at 6am in the morning so that I can pre-order it then.
Just called *611, hit 4 for other options, then said "order status." Put in my order number and instantly had a text message with my FedEx tracking number. It will be here tomorrow by 3pm! I guess my notification of shipment email went to the same place as the launch date email LOL!

I ordered by *611 at about 9 am central time and had an email from Verizon with fedex # by noon. Says its in transit from Memphis right now and ill have it by 3pm Thursday . So I'm thinking its legit!

Interesting. Despite that the rep I spoke with looked up the extended battery info in her records and read to me that it said it was 2880mah, mine (which actually arrived on the 8th, a day before my Bionic) actually is a 2760mah one instead, just as a recent news post has confirmed. I know others had expected it to be 2880 as well, so I wonder what happened. No big deal in the end, though. Just glad to hear that Motorola had the foresight to let their new docks work with their extended batteries this time.
