The market won't reinstall any apps. After two hours nothing installed at all and all apps were hanging. I followed the instructions and wiped then installed 2.2. Did everything that was suggested a few pages back. Now sadly I'm on another rom but I'd like top come back!

The market won't reinstall any apps. After two hours nothing installed at all and all apps were hanging. I followed the instructions and wiped then installed 2.2. Did everything that was suggested a few pages back. Now sadly I'm on another rom but I'd like top come back!
Sounds like a problem I have every time I flash a new ROM, and that "Auto Install" process kicks off. Too damned many download/installs going at once. This last time, I just stopped each download one by one then went back and installed each one at a time. Takes time, but it works. Just with TiBu didn't cause so many issues because it really is a lot faster.

other than install. wit 5 minutes reboot. install experimental #3 or a theme (which gets a newer market) and it installed i tried it several times as did chizzle and it worked.
the market is most testing thing everytime. the reason the newer markets did not make it into the rom were at the time they would crash even though it did work sometimes it did crash enough tht it was unnaceptable to release since i think market restore is the most important thing to work. so i know this works not sure what is happening with your guys installs. the market now checks devices and its possible that is interfering with auto install. no idea.

Thanks. Based on my luck the last time I upgraded the market, I might sit this one out for awhile (if it works, don't fix it). By the way, two successive nights with compcache turned off, and the phone hasn't overheated or locked up.
Don't know if it really was compcache, or the fact that I'm also using SetCPU to throttle the maximum speed down to 600Mhz when it's on the charger, but I'm not complaining. Thanks.

Ok gave sourcery a second chance. I must say im now impressed at first i didnt like it much but after a few ui tweaks and sone small minor minfree and sysctl tweaks its running smooth as could be. I like it and plan on staying with it for a while. Wish there would have been a sourcery gb rom to try out.

Thank you for the warm second welcome! Just searching around for a good kernel. My d1 kinda likes RZ kernels but been giving slayher's a shot. Coming back from a GB rom is interesting. I am currently testing out RZ Baseline GB beta but will be back on Sourcery soon, as its now my FAVORITE froyo.

RZ Baseline 0.6 beta didn't work out too well. I ended up in a boot loop at boot animation. So I am back quicker than expected.

I might install WidgetLocker, unsure I have mixed thoughts cause everytime I do it causes huge slowdowns and battery drain.
