twitter---romupdate

Dont forget to sign up for our twitter sourceryrom
and no we do not make any money from that (someone asked)
we just want to stay in touch with you on the latest happenings.
Ok the release of 1.1 will be sunday. this will be a full rom and gapps.
After this we will be working on 2 seperate builds. 1.1 with updates and 2.0
we have a lot planned for 2.0 so it will not be in a week :)
we will use romupdate with 1.1 to do any fixing that may be needed. or just updating.

we will have 3 new themes which we hope are to your liking and have more themer's already starting. I added a thread regarding and weve added links to their pages on the website. Please support the themer's they work hard and long on those. even if its to stop by and let them know you appreciate their work.

with that wanted to give you a chance to test rom update.
I have prepared a rom update to make the lockscreen sounds lock and unlock work.

while testing this all of us had problems with clockwork recovery.
we all had to go to rommanger and flash sprecovery than back to clockwork and all was good,

Not sure why it stopped working for all of us the same night , this should not effect sprecovery.

So with that in mind. we suggest backing up before any update .

after doing the normal flash sprecovery and than back to clockwork which im very use to this romupdate worked 5 straight times.

romupdate does not know if you have recieved it before so if you continue to use it it will continue to apply the same patch over and over we are working on a way for it to not reapply an update that has been applied already.

So if your still reading and want to apply the update goto settings and choose romupdate.

dont forget lock/unluck sounds have to be turned on in the sound section.

This update is already in 1.1 that will release on sunday.

So I have a couple dumb questions. When restoring through cw do you have to wipe data and cache? When doing this update do we have to wipe in cw? If so that means just wipe data/factory reset then cache then reboot and then go into update in settings and update? Just want to clarify. Thanx

So I've got an update after 3 days of use. I still love the rom and its still running as snappy as ever. I got compcache working with a P3 kernel but could not get it running on JDLFG it was something wrong with his ramzswap.zip file, not with the ROM. I've since switched to my old reliable Chevy ULV 1.25 since it seems like compcache slows me down more than it helps.

I do have 2 problems though:
The first is cosmetic. The lock screen is ugly, I like the droid cut out in the middle of it but the little pyramidal 3D designs look like something that came off of a Tandy machine. Theme's usually take up alot of space so I'm not big into them. Could we maybe get a different lockscreen in another update? Not a big deal at all just my $0.02.

The second problem is getting more and more annoying. I'm getting random hot reboots and random full reboots. Typically when the phone has been idle for a while. I.e. this morning when i took it off charge: hot reboot, Last night carrying it around in my pocket: 1 hot reboot, 1 full reboot. It's done this with all 3 kernels so far so I'm going to temporarily rule that out. Anyone else getting this or is it just me? Any ideas?

When restoring a nandroid in recovery u do not have to wipe the nandroid will take care of that.
When doing an update for sourcery rom all u have to do is go into sourcery magic and select the update selection if an update is availible it will install the update and u just have to sit back and watch :) if there is no update the prompt box will just close pretty quickly.

Cool stuff so far, guys. Definitely getting decent battery life, and only had one or two random reboots. Very stable.

Quick question, though. I see you are now in ROM Manager, but the screenshots for the ROM are just blurry looking stock images. They look nothing like the ROM. Is that just my phone not dl'ing the pics? Wouldn't want someone to pass over the ROM b/c the screens look crappy :)

Did the update thru Sourcery. Flashed sprerecovery then clock work recovery. All worked great. No problems. Fyi I have been running P3 low voltage 125-1250 kernel with great results. Thanks for all the great work guys.

ROM Manager always displays blurry stock images like that until the actual pictures are loaded. Once they load once your phone stores it and the images will pop up very quickly so you just need to wait a few seconds for the actual images to load

Lol. There they are. I have a thing about being impatient and hitting buttons when stuff hasn't finished loading....

That applies for restoring diferent roms?

Yea if you decide to restore a different rom you don't have to wipe any time you restore a nandroid you don't have to wipe the nandroid takes care of it all
