Spastic 3g coverage? here is what I have found...

Update...
Verizon went ahead and warrantied my phone because I was either forced to factory reset or have my service line disconnected then reprogram my phone just to get a stable 3g signal. Still not sure what the cause is, but as of the last few days, I've not had any reception problems with this new (3rd) droid...knock on wood!

I have had this weak 3G issue since the update as well. Here are some observations....
1) Using Speed Test during these times I find the Data Speed extremely slow.
2) Connecting the droid to the Multi Media Doc restores a solid connection and back to blazing fast data speeds.

I wonder if 2.1 provided some type of power management which reduces the transmitter/receiver power when no on the charger.

I'm going to test tonight and see if connection to the charger alone, not the multimedia dock, also corrects the issue.

In which case, I would hope that some APP could be created to take control of power management in regards to the Cell Data Transmitter/receiver.
