Speech To Text in Messaging

Does handcent allow you to customize notifications? As in LED color and pattern, vibrate pattern, and ringtone?

Thanks, Just thinking of switching over. I seem to see mixed reviews about handcent so I have been leary about using it....

I noticed on a Nexus One review that messaging and emails will have the option for speech to text. I believe this will be a feature of Android 2.1, just thought I would share that with everyone.
