Sprint Announces 'Cut Your Wireless Bill in Half' Promo Coming from Verizon or AT&T

Who has a better deal?
That's a pretty loaded question. MVNOs are quite a deal. If you are a huge data consumer they might not be as appealing. You have give up something. Most of in the $50 plans come with 3GB un-throttled.

T-Mobile is pretty awesome just because of WiFi calling and texting. Their LTE network is getting better and their HSPA network is far superior to any other carrier's in the US (yes, I know their coverage is still lacking).

Truth be told, location and use matters. A person who travels is going to have different requirements than a family of four. Most importantly is reading the fine print and do the research. There is more out there than the big four.

I might add that my post too.

I rather pay a little more and have a kick @$$ service.....Verizon's network is so much better than Sprint, Tmobile and Att in our area.

I hear that. Like I said, it is relative. There are MVNOs that operate on VZW's network.

I will say, when Sprint is done upgrading their network, they will pass VZW and AT&T up.

Sprint, AT&T and Verizon all have good coverage here according to their coverage maps. I'm off contract on Verizon looking to switch. Sprint may be worth a look. My only issue is I have to buy a sprint exclusive device and then sell it if I don't like the service. Unlike AT&T. The only exception to that is the Nexus 6. I'd also be giving up unlimited.. So there's that too.

on the move..

As others have already stated, Sprint can't offer me the coverage that vzw has in my area. In fact, the only options here are vzw or AT&T (and tracfone, etc) and AT&T's coverage/service here isn't as good as big red. I really liked my T-mobile service, but since they don't exist here either, I had to drop 'em after I decided I'd stay here.

It's pretty bad that they leave their current customers out in the cold. They should be cutting their costs in half first.
My dad ran into a similar issue with his satellite provider (Think it's DISH, but don't quote me). They were running a promo for free HD for life for new customers, so he called them up to ask about it and was told that the deal was only for NEW customers so he wasn't eligible. He elevated the call and was told the same thing, so he told them to cancel his service and he'd sign up as a new customer.

They gave him free HD for life.

I'm not sure if he was on contract at the time and would've had to be and ETF, but I suppose if you figure you plan to be with the company for a good number of years, they'd pay for themselves pretty quick...

So I tried to use their online bill upload feature to see what kind of price they can offer me(downloaded my bill in PDF straight from Verizon) and this is the result I got.

Probably typical answer when they notice unlimited data on the bill.

Yeah, they don't want to deal with you online because they know the answer they have to give you is one that you're not going to want to hear. So instead their hopes are to get you on the phone and talk you into making sense out of what doesn't make sense.

i just stopped in to ask what they can do with my bill.
I currently have 5 lines 1 home line and 4 cells with 1400 min shared and all have unlimited text and data, currently i pay $303.

They said the only thing they cant match is the 1400 min of talk time because the system doesnt offer a way to limit voice anymore.... so i could get all 5 lines the 1 home and 4 with unlimited text voice and high speed data. for get this $107

not sure if everyone on the contract will want to make the switch so i also asked and they can just do two of the lines.
for my wife and i to have unlimited everything i would be looking at $54 a month.

Thinking this is a no brainier.

How is their coverage in your area? Everyone, without fail, that I know on Sprint sounds horrible on the phone.

the ability to use hangouts dialer to make VoIP calls makes the areas with less then perfect voice coverage better to deal with.

plus i figure its only going to get better. not like they are going to start shrinking the coverage areas
