I am running the Bose Sport SIE2i with Poweramp program on my Maxx and it works fine.

I have setup Poweramp to use a double click for next track and a triple click for previous track.

I found my old Phillips headset and tried them since the Kit Kat update and now they work great. All the button commands work now. They didn't prior to KitKat.

I've been using MediaMonkey, which I like, but it doesn't have button control options. That's handy! Thanks for the tip on PowerAmp.

Very interesting!! I've been getting a notice on my Razr Maxx HD about an update, but I've been ignoring it until I can make sure I know how to retain root. It's KitKat? Cool!

Do a factory reset after the update, I had a problem with the music players locking up and rebooting. After the factory reset my phone is flawless.
