I'm sorry I thought I saw something else on his post. I guess the main thing that made me think he didn't have a bionic is the fact that he had it over a year. I'll slow down and check my facts better next time. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I know what you mean, I'm guilty of that as well. We've had a comment on another thread along those lines. More like 9 months. I presumed it was a Bionic based on the version he said he was on.

What I like about this is seeing how many people are still excited and standing by to see Bionic updates. I just wish our Bionic community wasn't dwendelling so quckliy.

I've had my Bionic since day one and I haven't even considered upgrading yet.

It gets hated on a lot but I see an overwhelming amount of Bionic owners who love it on the forums and blogs.

I am not a Soak Tester as I don't even know where I would go to sign up. I received a message Friday stating that there was an update available for my phone. I came to the Forum to see if indeed an update was available and saw all the posts about testing. I've been running 905 since about noon on Friday and really haven't seen a difference. At first I had issues with Weather. com App & Mobile Sports. Since yesterday everything is running fine, including those 2 apps. I have tested my speeds and there has been no significant change (20 down/ 5 up). I do have to say my battery usage is a bit better. Nothing to jump about, but it is better. I have attached a screen print. By the way, I live in Silicon Valley.

I was pushed .901 way back when which wasn't even supposed to go out to anyone so its entirely likely you were pushed it accidentally. Enjoy

I received and completed the soak test survey on Sunday. If all went well with the soak, I would think the update will be released very soon.

No worries, suspect allot of us are still here. Think it's a function of seeing repetitive posts. Once something interesting (new) comes along think you will see more activity. I still try to respond occasionally when I feel I have something constructive (or in the spirit of humor) to say. I ALWAYS look through the threads to see what's up. I have really enjoyed the Bionic Forum, a great bunch of folks, always willing to help! Recognize many of the names from the OG forum when the Bionic first came out. While I've gotta see how ICS rolls on he Bionic, I am keeping an eye on the Samsung Galaxy S3 forum ;-) I went to buy a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tab2 last weekend and ended up buying a Canon T3i DSLR instead! Duh!

Btw, suspect it will get more lively over the next few days ;-)

they also push test updates to random people. not just soak testers. so im sure thats what you got dancedroid

I haven't received 5.9.905 yet in San Francisco. Does it really exist? Have they rolled it out?

They just wrapped up soak testing... if all went well after they gather the surveys they'll release it. Would keep your eyes open over the next few days. It will eventually find its way to you, may want to check for system updates occasionally. System > About Phone > System Updates Have not figured out how Big Red rolls out updates, pretty random. Enjoy!

It seems it has not been released for "general public consumption."
I hear it sucks (from soak testers themselves).
I figured that they would have released it into the wild by now.
Hmmm.

Nothing here... was wondering, can any1 tell us what the update includes/consists of? I am all for updates but if nothing really changes then I'm not gonna get 2 excited about it. Bionic is awesome though... can't wait for ICS! Just put golauncher on my old Droid X2. Thats awesome as well.

I was on the soak test and got the 905 OTA. As far as I am concerned it is a flop keeps dropping data. Some say they are not having problems but most are reporting data drops. I hope they will do something to fix our phones or I will need to fxz back to 902.
