Still happy with your Maxx?

I've tried Gingerbread, Swiftkey, and stock to no avail. The auto correct is very important as I have to type fast while at work and on the job and can't always check to make sure things are spelled right when time is of the essence. I work hard for money and want something worth its value. Sorry it just me...
Well maybe you're just unlucky... I worked hard for my money, and I want something of value and I got it in the Maxx (haptic feedback, auto correct and all)

Maybe you should try rooting and installing the .215 leak... perhaps that issue was addressed in it

I would never consider a phone with a smaller battery than my Maxx. I imagine when they come out with a newer phone with at least the same battery (most likely larger) and features that i can't live without, I would consider a replacement device.

Loose the cord and get a RAZR Maxx.

Having to do a FDR ever is plenty of reason to call a phone garbage.

Because these highly technical devices ALWAYS work perfectly ALL the time..

YouTube "Louis ck cell phones" I think he hit right on the head with some people here..

It is a trade off. If you want a phone that doesn't require an fdr every so often then you need to get a phone that does not allow any user-owner customizations or is very restrictive in what you can do with your phone. Because Android allows us to do almost anything we want with our phones, install a million apps, tweak a million settings, we tend to do things that cause conflicts. The more conflicts, the more necessary it is to do an fdr. To avoid this, you would have to go for a phone that is very specific in what you can install and very specific in the settings. IPhone has that kind of control as well as non-smart/feature phones.

My Maxx by far has been my best phone. I've had it since the beginning of March 2012. I liked Gingerbread, and thought it was the best OS coming from the original Droid. I wasn't a Wiz with my phone till I joined this forum. I had a few issues with ICS when it came out. I followed the postings here, and asked questions and got my phone running like a top notch machine. I'm rooted and running the .215 ICS leak. If you search and post questions you will get the help or answers you need here. My maxx right now is a awesome phone, I would hate to loose it. I could never see myself with a Iphone. I guess simple phones for simple people and people that don't not want to control your own phone. I love hearing from people say how they can talk to my Iphone (4S &5) and it types what I say! Then I turn to them and say, well I've been doing that for last 2 1/2 years with my Android phones HAHA!

People have become so accepting of things not working properly that companies don't even try anymore. So what if people aren't happy with their device, they'll just pay even more for the next, newest, greatest thing because we'll tell them we finally got everything right. Then, when they've figured out it's just another overpriced, mass produced piece of technological garbage, they will refuse to admit their phone isn't worth what they paid for it. I'm going to stick with an Android device, but I will never purchase a Motorola product again.

Over all I am happy with it still. I have ICS and I agree its a little laggy at times but not that bad. GPS works fine when I use it but since ICS I hardly ever turn it on because 1 I hate having to allow standalone GPS ever.single. time I want to turn it on and 2 it seems to eat more battery life when on then before ICS. But I bought the phone more for the good battery life then anything else and on that front its still great. I have come to the conclusion that Motorola puts crappy camera's in so I don't expect much from it.

what kind of condition is maxx in

I have a friend who is looking for a maxx...would you consider selling it what would you have to have for it $ wise.

Lots of responses to my question. Thanks for the response everyone. I will check out the ics camera app people are suggesting.

This will be my last moto phone. And I will try to steer clear of the iphone again.

yes im very happy

I know the camera is not the best at night but i did not get this phone for the camera only.
even having an iphone there is some places at night when u cant take good pictures so i still use my real camera for those occasions

My gps works very fast lest than 3 seconds i have directions
Battery is very good
The ability to use at hotspot for free without root is very useful
The smart actions are very good
I think is the best phone on the market.
