Stopping notifications

How do I stop the 2.1 update notifications. :icon_ poke:

I got my notification this morning but wasn't sure if I should install it since my phone is already rooted. Will it unroot my phone if I install?

I believe the OTA is stopped by changing /system/etc/security/otacert.zip to otacerts.zip or anything other than otacert.zip. That's been part of the ROMs I've installed. I don't know whether they all include that change, but I think it's a safe bet.

Though I think the file name is otacert.apk, and you have to change the file extension to .bak or .old to block the update notifications.
