I got a bizarre one for you...
Yesterday, I put my phone into airplane mode to keep it quiet while I was in class.
During the lunch break, I took it out of airplane mode to make a call. Then the strangeness started... I started receiving calls from various numbers from around the nation, all claiming I had called them. None of the numbers are even similar to what is in my contact list, and they were coming from area codes I had never been to. And none of the outgoing "calls" showed up in my call log.
Verizon was clueless...not surprising...
Any ideas on how/why my phone number would randomly show up on about 10 different peoples phones across the nation?
