Stuck in ClockworkMod Recovery

It was just a dare, and I am pretty sure it doesn't try to reformat it because a buddy of mine had an eris who stopped reading his card but my old dare read it fine. I am going to try this during my lunch break I'm desperate to fix my phone.

So I am going to try that unroot update.zip that was referenced earlier in this thread hopefully it works this time but it hasn't when I tried before. My phone can still be saved right? I'm dreading the b_ _ _ _ word
i would think it's savable and not b_ _ _ _ :). if your dare doesn't recognize your 16gb card just load the zip on the dares card and put it in your droid.

i don't know if i would try the unroot zip first...first i would find a good clockwork zip and try it...

Ok, I know the dare recognizes it for a fact so that is promising. Where would I get a good clockwork update.zip from and where is that going to take me from here? I remember when I tried the blackdroid one it successfully took me the the blackdroid boot screen but then i was stuck there Idk.

i would try the second link here
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/bl...now-available-over-air-update-ese53-base.html
then put it in the clockwork folder and try to android install it from there.

Ok I am home I just downloaded the above and am about to put in the phone, would I name this update.zip and try it that way or treat it differently since this is the nandroid.

Update, the battery does not charge as we figured out. Have used another sd card loaded onto another phone and used the to pull files in order to put on the droid since the droid only works when plugged into an outlet. unroot update.zips do no work it says bad and errors come up. Blackdroid is loading succesfully it completes and says welcome to Ultimate Droid. I am no longer just getting the M I do see the Ultimate Droid boot screen however it does not advance from there!

If you are able to load blackdroid and get beyond the boot screen I had an idea yester day but was hesistant to try. I know for a fact that droidmod gets rid of clockmod. But in order to do it you had to get beyond the boot screen. They had a file but I think it is a tart file so I do not know if you need to flash it as a zip file or from the nandroid folder; so that is why I was hesitant top suggest it. (Grab it via DMUpdater or http://downloads.droidmod.org/finalreleases/droidmod-164-1.0.rom.tgz)

I am also tripped up how you was able to flash blackmod zip file but not flash the zip file to unroot.

Put the file at the root of you sdcard. Reboot into recovery..
go to install zip from sdcard
choose zip from sdcard
then find the file (droidmod file)
droidmod uses sprecovery so it should force you into sprecovery.

you tried this:
i think i see what is tripping you up. i am in clockwork recovery now...
click install zip from sdcard
choose zip from sdcard
and find the update.zip

pilot correct me if i'm giving bad info

on the file that you downloaded that i suggested, extract it to UltimateDroidV8.1.1_CWNandroiiiid that will just be a folder not a zip file. then put that folder inside the clockwork folder on your sd card.then try to load it using the nandroid option. if you tried to load the zip again like before you were just retrying the same zip again...not the new download.

In clockwork recovery you can actually find the file you want to load up. When I suggested choose the zip...he will will see droid mod as he scroll down through the choose zip file option. It is literally like going through your sdcard.
Forgive me for my quick type I'm on my droid drivn to work using the talk to text. So if there is a blank or misppelled word I apologize.

gotcha...but the last file he downloaded was a nandroid file, not an update zip

Yea I'm back at work so I have to wait until I get out of the office to try more steps. My battery seems to be charging now since I put blackdroid on. What should I attempt first the nandroid file that is unzipped or attempting to do the droidmod update.zip. As for my 'guru' status more like an ass who tried everything possible because he screwed up lol
