Stuck on the Welcome to Droid screen.

My phone is stuck on the Welcome to Droid Screen. It says touch the android to begin, so i touch the green android but nothing happens. How can I get this fixed? What are the steps to restore back. When I power off and hold down the power and the x key it opens up in ClockworkMod Recovery v1.8.0.8.

While the phone is on and powered up (even if it is stuck at the startup window) have you tried a battery pull? That seems to be the first thing to do to reset the computer in your phone. I am not sure if this will fix it but its a start.
