OK...I got it yesterday and charged the battery overnight, called Mother VzN and activated this morning. A touchy moment when they told me that I would be billed $175 for deactivating an old line...told them I didn't want to deactivate the line...just use it to buy a newer phone...fortunately I was speaking to an excellent VZN rep (kudo's to Dan) who "got it". After that small hurdle I then found out I was eligible for VIP status so I got a Manager's override from Dan that was good for a few perks and now I am a VZN VIP...not sure if I should be rigid and stiff over that or not, but I figure what the hell...I can use all the perks I can get.
Anyway...got to playing with this thing. It was a little frustrating at first because it's so sensitive and my fingers are still "Storm" trained. Still having problems there but they are going away quickly. Dusted off my old GMail acct and got that running which opened up all kinds of goody doors on the phone. I must say...I am impressed. Hell...I'm beyond impressed. This is a very very responsive device. The learning curve isn't steep at all and interfacing the phone with my email accts and contacts was a piece of cake. The browser is smokin' hot...The battery life is probably going to be pretty good once I quit playing with it which I have been doing pretty constantly since 0700 this morning. It's down to 30% now...I wish the description of the apps was a bit better but I can live with that...anyhow, guess I better change the "profile" phone from Storm to Moto Droid. Thanks to all of you that convinced me to make the jump.. :icon_ devil:
