SwiftKey X Free on Amazon Today

this thing reads my mind, wtf. besides the fact it konws what you are going to type, it works very good in every way.

I just downloaded it myself 10 minutes ago. I did all the steps it asked, I even restarted my phone. But, whenever I have the keyboard pop up, it's the default keyboard! But swiftkey is checked under my keyboard options. Anyone else have this problem or have suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?

I figured out my problem. The keyboard wasn't set to be the default keyboard, but I figured out how to fix it.

I love this keyboard kept downloading the beta over and over again until I saw this posting... Very happy that I didn't have to spend the 4 bucks to get this awesome app!

For some reason, it kept starting all my text messages with "the creator". Figured it was some sort of religious app :) Also, couldn't get the "gesture" to hide the keyboard working, so i uninstalled it. This keyboard made me miss the stock one pretty quick.

Love it, haven't had any issues... But will say some of the auto corrections are way far fetched!

This app is terrible. Wont let me work in documents to go, corrects stuff stupidly. Really bad

Maybe that's why its free. ;)

LGX v2.4

I've never had any problems with this keyboard working on docs to go, you just have to make sure that the keyboard is setup for rapid typing rather than precision typing. Idk but something with precision typing doesn't work right all the time

I had downloaded it and took it off later that day and went back to Gingerbread Keyboard. I didn't like how it didn't automatically capitalize the "I", and it doesn't put in apostrophe's for words like I'm, I'd, It's, etc....

Also it got annoying that it spaced automatically after commas and periods, its a good thing for those who like it, for those who don't there's no way to turn it off.

I did love the Neon theme though and the vibration on keypress was great.

Oh one more thing that was kind of a pain was Talk to Text, its a pain getting into it, and then you have to choose from 3 possible answers

Oh I forgot I was having a problem with the spacebar not registering, or something, and words would combine

If you, get a paid app for free on the amazon market, will it let you update the version for free?

Yes, but they have had some difficulties at Amazon. I already have the SwiftKey X update from yesterday that fixes the email glitch.

Thanks, Robrecht

Interestingly, I had to get it from Amazon (where it showed an update available). Android Market did not show that I had it installed. I think it's shown updates for stuff I have gotten from Amazon in the past.

Android Market showed that I had it installed (installed it from Amazon), but if I tried to download the update from the Android Market, they would have charged me the $3.99 to download the update.
