Swype for the A855?

Says its only for phone with swype preinstalled. My droid a855 doesn't have it installed at all. ):

i cant get swype to work on my droid anymore. the one it downloads from the swype installer thing the keyboard works but it doesnt "swype" it just works like a regular keyboard so theres actually no point at all in using it... any help would be great

Did you post on the Swype forums? They are pretty good about responding.
You have to follow the directions in the email. Pretty detailed.
If you had Swype working and now it is not, I suggest uninstalling both the installer and the app and downloading the installer once more.
Last time the three month period ended and the up date was released, you had to basically reinstall it all over again.
Come to think of it, it has been almost three months.
Look for a new update June.

sounds like you are having the same issues we went through. i haven't had any more problems since relicensing, selecting default keyboard and then going back to swype. good luck.

No, it says:

If your phone came pre-installed with Swype
DO NOT download this beta (it won't work)

If you don't have Swype preinstalled then they Swype beta program is the only way to get it legally.

+1 for the Swype forums. The reinstall process is detailed there. You really should be using the Sype beta forums if you're in the beta. The point of a beta is to provide feedback.
