tech issue

I received my Droid eris 2.1 update & I love it have no problems other then a really important feature to me was missing.. usually when I press the end it closes what ever task I am on & takes me to home screen & if I press it again it takes me to the lock sxreen. But no my end button can only end calls. Any hleped be great cause I like locking my screen instead of waiting for it to time out

Don't have an eris, but maybe the power button?

I think it works now its just so slow.
