Tell me why I SHOULDNT get the Iphone 4

My question is how can you pass up 3-4 days of battery life on one single charge :o

You prepare for it. I have at least two extra batteries, 2 chargers with cradles, 1 wall charger. So on those days when I do use my Droid a lot I have a battery ready to go.

I would say that's part of a reason to buy an iPhone but I wouldn't throw my whole argument on there with just that.

The same reason why I wouldn't buy a Playstation 1 . It's outdated . We are on a 4g standard now. Why would you want to get LOCKED in a 2yr contract on a 3g phone? Also the new Iphone 5 will be released this year which all of the iphone 4 buyers will have to play full price for.

This reply says it all... by the time your contract is up in 20 months you got a 5 year old phone. Better than any of the droids?? Not even close man.. do some research..

Some could care less about 4g...Some just want a device that they turn on and use that they personally like. Not what someone else says to get.

It's called charging your phone at night, Having a charger in the car and one at your desk at work.

I can't drive my truck for 3 days on 25gals of gas, I sure don;t expect my phone to do the same....

Its easy, because you won't get 3-4 days on a single charge. The battery life is really good, but if youre actually using the phone, you're not going to see 3-4 days of battery life. Thats just not going to happen. I have a droid 2 with extended battery and can get well over 24hrs of heavy use. You can get over 24 hours of heavy use with an iphone 4. But you need to be careful not to confuse usage time with standby time. If I leave my phone sitting around doing nothing, its going to go for days on a single charge. When you actually use your phone, its going to need to use battery.

Also, engadget has a good review of the iphone 4. But again, 3-4 days of battery life with actual usage is a myth. Don't buy a product under false pretenses. Read as much as you can about it.

Here's the deal, HookedonHionics,

4G is NOT the standard, as it's not available in most areas, and NOT available in YOUR area. The iPhone 4 runs on 3G, the iPhone 5, which will be release this summer, may run on 4G, but since 4G won't be available in your area until 2013, it won't do YOU any good. Unless Apple comes up with some cool new whazoo feature (like Facetime or Retina Display) on their iPhone 5.

So what you're really asking is, whether or not you should wait for the iPhone 5. Technology keeps advancing and most of the time you won't have the latest and greatest gadget, so just be content with that you have, or about to get.

As far as battery life, the Thunderbolt will have a larger screen so its battery life should be significantly less than the iPhone 4.

Bottom line is, there is NO logical reason for YOU not to get the iPhone 4. So go for it, take the plunge.

Lol....lol...lol... just get an extended battery for that I phone. Oh u can't.. Mr. Jobs the control freak won't let ya.

I just got the iphone for my girl and she absolutely luvs it she doesnt drop calls at all and voice sounds crystal clear shes had it since thursday and not one problem, me myself am an ANDROID guy will never go with anything less but the choice is yours bro no one can tell you WHY NOT to get one go into your verizin store and play with one and see how you like it and make your choice...and as far as battery COMOOON MAN if you use your phone constantly theres no way its battery is gna last 3-4 dayz dont believe everything you hear or read...the answer is easy really THE CHOICE IS YOURS

The battery life always depends on the user. I can have my phone last two days or I can make it last half a day. If your smartphone lasts that long (without extended batteries) then you arent using tge options tgat make it smart. My friend had an iphone and said his emails dont sync nearly as much as needed. He is a business man and missed a bunch of time sensitive emails.

If anyone says apple hardware is crap...

They are fantastic devices, but no way in hell can I deal with the software...especially itunes. Words cannot describe my ill feelings for that program, and how you have to sync any iDevice with it. I tried giving my girlfriend my old ipod shuffle, since I don't use it. We spent a couple hours with it and still couldn't figure out how to get her songs on it. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say, the itunes syncing kills any hope of me getting an iphone.

I'll take my droid, and be happy with dragging and dropping what I want onto my phone.

I absolutely hate even commenting in iphone threads because everyone always turns them into pissing contests and starts whining.....

However....

20 months does NOT equal 5 years.....and if your trying to say that the iphone4 is even remotely the same as the original iphone.....YOU need to do some research because that is FAR from the truth.

And 3g vs. 4g......90% of the upcoming android line-up is still 3g, so you can say the same for them. If 4G matters that much to you....than obviously you will want a 4G phone, otherwise....its a useless point.
