Text message apps question

I downloaded Handcent, which I like better than the standard "messaging" app that came with the Droid. However, when I receive a text message, I get two of the same message: one for Handcent, and one for Messaging.

Is there a way I can set the options so that my text messages only come to Handcent? Its kind of annoying getting a double of each text.

Turn off notifications in the stock messaging app.
