Every time I have been part of a soak test in past which has been about 5 times with all different devices it has been 7-9 days from email invite too getting the update. That has been with droid4 XOOM and bionic and DROIDX

Idk cause they sent out more emails last Mon night cause they had issues with people being able to register cause it wasn't taking 14 digit meid numbers

Wow, approved by Verizon and everything. Looks like we're skipping the testing part and going straight to the release. Everybody keep your eyes open!

If verizon has approved the update, will that make it official? Or is it just a "soak" release?

It's not unusual for Verizon to post this information before the OTA is available......or before a SOAK has been completed. It does mean that the push out is coming soon.....

The SOAK will take place, though most likely with approval already in place from Verizon, as long as no issues crop up the OTA will roll out to the rest of the D4 users the next day.

We could see the SOAK Friday and the roll out start Sat/Sun day.

This says JB tomorrow, guess they just skipped the soak test? I know is says ICS but read the update posted today.

Will it be necessary to wipe the system cache before upgrading, or should a FDR suffice?

Assuming you pass the OTA requirments and don't need to fastboot, I would recommend doing a factory reset AND wiping cache.

Will it work if you don't wipe cache? Yes. Will you be getting the best experience by having ics and jb data mixing? No.

How funny is that. Officially my DROID 4 will be running 4.1.2 and officially my galaxy nexus will be running 4.1.1 anybody see a issue with VZW. LOL
