Once in a while I'll order a flat white which is not so bad. It actually has a decent taste to it but definitely not number one coffee

IMO... Starbucks burns their beans so the coffee can be tasted through the cream, spices, flavors etc...
Regular roasted coffee beans, when ground and brewed, and typically drank black or with a little cream and/or sugar, the coffee flavor would be hidden.
Then again, so many add all the "ingredients" to hide the real coffee 'flavour'... [emoji12]
