Lox is definitely an acquired taste. I spent my first 32 years in NY state and it's kind of "Jewish soul food". It's actually smoked salmon. Most people don't say yuk when I call it that..I think it's also called Gravlax which I think is the Swedish name for it[emoji226][emoji226]Well that's a load of different flavors in one meal...
