The "New" New Phone Rumor Mill

Let's speculate about the Galaxy Nexus S and Android 5.0.

Well... Let's start with dreams... 1. It'll come to Verizon...

Now to the facts...

1. It'll have lightsaber support (not sure, I think it'll be disabled in airplane mode so as to be able to travel on a plane.)

2. Kevlar and titanium with a special holster that will cover your heart. Also, bullet proof gorilla glass that's being designed as we speak.

3. Water_proof_ to 100 meters.

4. Shock resistant.

5. A dual, quad core processor, 3 gigs ram.

6. Cameras. 2 rear 14mpx with a sensor to match and changeable telephoto lenses. The dual lenses is to allow for 4d imaging. The front will include dual 5mpx for 3d video chatting.

7. It will have improved brain to text technology... (why should we have to talk to it?)

8. It will come stock with CM10, Jellybean.

9. It'll have a tablet dock.

10. Pricing and availability. The best part!
Google should have their satellite 5g up and working by then. All voice will be VoIP though Google's satellite 5g.
Best news, unlimited (meaning unlimited, like "you could use 200 gigs a month" unlimited) ...for $10 a month.
That includes free unlimited hotspot as well. (I'm thinking about using mine for a router replacement for my home network.)

Best news, according to my source Google will be giving away free models to all "Senior Droids" and above on Droidforums.

PS 11. It Will have a removable battery and sd. Battery life should last about 2 days with GPS, wifi, and Bluetooth on.

PPS 12. It will come with multiple screen sizes, 3.5, 4.5, and 5. It's unconfirmed if it will be curved or not.

I'll see if I can post the URL sources (no guarantees) to those specs later on, I'm a bit busy now.

Edit: I couldn't find the URLs anywhere, they must have pulled them.

You better get some more reliable sources. My source says:

PS 11. Battery will be recharged by the sun AND the moon, resulting in a device that never needs to be plugged in....unless you live in a cave.

PS 12. Device will have an advanced form of AI, which will eventually lead to a cure for cancer

PS 13. Time travel. Need I say more? Suck it iOS.

I'm a female, but thanks lol

I'm sorry about that!!! I usually try to use the ambitious form (they or (s)he), but of course when I forget to...

Did you have any luck finding what info you were looking for?

Any new phones on the radar to now speculate about? This is getting boring! ;)

I'm betting we won't start seeing any major talk until after the first part of November. Then it will be leaks and rumors of Second Gen dual core and 1st Gen quad core and what we will probably see at CES2012.

This was discussed in another thread and I wanted to bring up the question here. Post.

P3Droid has been reputable in the past, how much truth do you put in his rumors? I've been on the fence about this phone for along time, fearing Verizon would disappoint. Seems as though that's still very much a possibility. Any chance Verizon scraps the Nexus because of LTE issues? And if they do sell it, any chance they sell it off-contract only? These are scary rumors, I hope they're wrong. Thoughts?

I don't even know what to think about it... I'm sure he has his reason... maybe it isn't a bad thing. It could be "I wouldn't sell your VZW phone for the G-nex... because you'll just turn around and sell your G-Nex for the GSG2 HD LTE that is coming out a week later on VZW

And the Panda, here. He too has been very reputable in the past. He's trying to put our minds at ease, but for some reason his post left me more uneasy than before...

Haha, how crazy would that be? Didn't Verizon state that they passed on the GSII for something "better?" I love what I've seen of the Nexus (and I will buy it) but I wouldn't necessarily say that it's better than the SII, it's just different. SII is powerful and has great tech inside, the Nexus is more balanced - a perfect mix of os and tech.

With that being said, does the Nexus seem like the device they were talking about? Could there be an even better device coming in the next month? I doubt it, but it's something to think about. Droid Prime or Galaxy Prime keeps popping into my head.

^Well at least we don't have to make up stuff to talk about! Keep your eye on those eccentric guys P3Droid and Miami!

I imagine the next set we really will be talking about it the Dinara, Bullet, Jet, Galaxy S2 HD, US version of the Sensation XL, and maybe some brand breaking into the market with a top tier
