Really?? The ICS source has been out for all of what, 2 weeks, and your expecting new phones to already have it? Im sure both the D4 and the RAZR will have ICS in Q1 2012.

I agree, D4 won't have ICS on release. But either by OTA or rom it should have it by Spring. The D3 took just 6 weeks to a reliable 1-click root. And the main focus of rom development now, I would think, will be porting ICS to as many phones as possible. I'd love to have it on my DX... [and/or on the used T-bolt I'm looking for (PM)] ...in case I hold out for summer and the D5.

We do have choices.

You insinuated that they're so busy working on Blur that they dont have 'timely software updates', and considering the topic was the lack of ICS on D4 at launch...

I just received two more bits of info from my source:

The test unit should arrive on Tuesday and once that happens pictures and info should follow shortly.

And as for the reason for any hold ups, in a single word: Verizon. According info gathered "Moto wants to make world phones and Verizon doesn't want that"

Interesting...

To kick things off, in this member's opinion "there is no way the droid4 makes the 12/8 release"

Unlikely, since they downgraded the screen from the RAZR's amoled and the D4 is not a media phone.

Most of us were sent here by a link from my month old post about the D-4. I was happy at first because it was starting to get some traction, then you come and lock it up, steal my thunder and make me sad.

BTW, any info about the speaker? I hope its as loud as my D1.
