Wouldn't you know it. My menu key on my OG stopped working yesterday. 
Cash in hand and ready to buy!!
Now I have to slide open the keyboard and use that menu key.

Maybe Verizon just wants to make sure we appreciate our current phones more before releasing their successor
Verizon knows there is a large group of us that is going crazy waiting for this phone. Sure maybe it will officially launch on the 15th to the masses...
But because of all the torture it would be nice if Verizon without officially launching allowed those of us that want it now to go ahead and buy it. Not advertising or anything official... just allowing those of us that are rabid to quietly walk into the store and walk out with it.
I bet they could sell a lot of phones between now and the 15th!

I really wanted to hold off on rooting the phone as soon as I got it but I feel like I'm going to miss some of the rooted apps too much...maybe I will just root it and continue running the stock version from googlefor a while

While you guys are fighting to get your numbers up and make it to 4000 and then 5000 posts here is something to think about.
A few years back there was another board I frequent that decided to have a 100,000th post contest. They started taking donations for prizes for the big winner and several after that number. The total value of the prizes for the winner was over $20,000. They took the board counter away a while before so you didn't know exactly where the count was. But with a bit of calculation you could get a pretty good idea.
I was the 100,000th post! That was a pretty good day!
Maybe this board would be willing to give a G-Nex to the 5000th post? LOL.... Do you think they would do that?

This board had plenty of giveaways over time, wouldn't hold my breath over this though...
