Ok guys this is just what I experienced today so don't hate if it doesn't happen or is wrong. Don't you love how we have to say that now. Well I went to one of my local verizon stores and I actually knew the manager working there. She took my name and number and reserved me a nexus. I asked her what day can I come and get it and she said she was told the 15th. I know other people have said this , just giving my own experience. So we shall see what happens. hopefully we all have it thursday.

Question:

New phones like the D3, Bionic, and RAZR have to have a Radio hack to be able to use WiFi tethering. Do you think the GNex will have this too? I'm not sure if its due to the locked bootloader or Verizon just setting something up so they know when you try to use it, to send you to their Mobile Hotspot page.

Anybody know if the xda forum roms work with the lte version? the revolution rom ([ROM] Android Revolution HD™ 1.3.1 | High Quality & Performance | GSM/LTE | Legendary - xda-developers) says it works with lte.

on a side note. we should make this thread is so long jokes

Yes you will be able to have wifi tethering once a kernels come out for it. I am pretty sure you can have anything on this phone. Thats the freedom on a unlocked bootloader.

Yes it will. He uses the latest dumps from the LTE Nexus to make his rom. Its not source built.

I posted this in another thread but when I was at best buy buying my sister's iPhone (yeah, I know) they promised me the 15th. I saw them in the cabinet when they opened it to get the iPhone out.

Called the 611 to innocently ask about the Nexus, the Rep wouldn't give me a release date. She then looked at my number and noticed I was upgrading from a DX and told me about the 3G to 4G upgrade offer, $100 rebate card! She told me she would "pin" it in the notes on my account so the Verizon store would see it. Give them a call and ask about the upgrade. Let us know if you get the same results, she said the offer was good until 12/31/11.
