I'm surprised to see this, that is definitely disappointing. Nothing a little root can't fix though.

7 though man.....i was looking through it and i was like dam theres alot of vzw apps on here(not bloat but vzw apps) and he said well this is a verizon store. i said....but its a NEXUS!!!

nexuses screen is nicer...hands down. its big and beautiful. i didnt have one moment of lag. its very fluid and just.....holy hell.....i got a boner while i was playing with it

Well second season of Spartacus hasn't started yet (I think it starts on 1/27) but Season 1.5 (mini season) was awesome. Definitely worth a watch. It's a prequel. It's neat because you know the outcome of a lot of things but you don't know how they get there...it also helps explain why a lot of the characters behave the way they do to things in Season 1. Definitely recommend it.

I recommend Battlestar too. It's only 3 seasons (and a few offshoot mini series). Definitely unlike any scifi show to date.

For some reason I thought there was a lot more to BSG... maybe I didn't realize they were doing a remake, thought it was a continuation.

One last thought before I head to bed: I forgot one more show; Dirty Jobs... if I could hang out at a bar with any celebrity, it would be Mike Rowe. His sense of humor kicks ass.

Nope.....7 vzw apps. some ive never heard of before....i guess i should have wrote it down. i was just lucky to be able to play with it let alone take pics. its not from the market since they took it out of the box in front of me installed the sim and gave it to me.

I loved the first season of Spartacus... didn't watch the mini season because I didn't know about it and I'm not sure if I will like it without the original Spartacus... what has the second season been like?

Used to love Robot Chicken, kinda got old, as did Aqua Teen.

Up All Night is funny, just not worth the Tivo/Download effort.

Also have considered watching Battle Star, Dexter, and/or Dr. Who, but only if I start back from the beginning and that is a massive commitment.

And my drink since I never said before... Jameson, Neat or Rocks

You all have totally forgotten about Fringe.. Totally awesome show although I don't like the way they have Walter all serious this season in the orange timeline.

I wonder if in another timeline that the Nexus has been released already? (To keep this somewhat on topic!) :dry:

Fringe is one of the best shows on.

Peter thinks he's in another timeline but he's in the same timeline - he just never existed.

BSG - You had to be in the mood to watch it - very serious and depressing show. I'm not a terrific fan of the remake but it was interesting.

Terra Nova - Sorry but the little kids running around make me ill.

Was the box factory sealed? It's possible that's the unit they're going to put on the floor, and they loaded their apps on it. It's also possible that Verizon loaded that with their apps before it was shipped to the store to serve as the demo unit.

That's only because the browser/site knows what sites you've visited, like GNex ones, and shows it as the ad..

Well, didn't some people in stores say it was being held back so Verizon could load more apps onto it? So the people who got it last weekend would have the original version, without the bloat.

Oh well, whatever. Nothing we can do about it, as long as the bootloader is unlocked we'll have *enough* of a Nexus to get by.

BSG is serious....but I wouldn't call it depressing. It certainly is more of a sci-fi drama with action sequences. I just thought it was very well done; the cinematography was very cool and the story came together really well.

It is a commitment but a very rewarding one.

I have heard great things about fringe....and being a huge Lost fan, I heard I would like it but still haven't seen an episode. Might have to bite the bullet and get myself a Netflix account.

If you notice, up until this this season depending on what timeline they were in the intro was either red or blue... this season it has been orange.

Now to really show my geekiness of myself and my family I know the cypher to the images leading out to the commercials breaks and don't have to look it up anymore.

Although I find my self too into the dialogue to notice the observer that makes an appearance on every episode. My mom is usually good at picking up on that. She will calll me on the phone and say Did you see him? I just the saw the observer again.

God I really need to get a life again...:icon_rolleyes:
