I've never really thought about it, but if I pick out any single android device and think about the number of times I have seen one "In the wild" the number is probably less than 5 for most devices and probably closer to 2 times for many of them. Maybe I just don't pay attention to what people are using, but somehow they always make sure there iphone is seen.

A continuation of that thought: the other day I was out to dinner with a group of friends who all iphones except one person has a SGSII. Cases, screen protectors, ios5 and all that was being discussed when someone asked me what I had and I said a Droid 1 but I was waiting on the G-Nex to come out and you could see their eyes glaze over as soon as the word "android" came out of my mouth. Such an interesting dynamic.

well just got the rezound LOL I hope it really comes out on the 15th so i can swap it. Manager says i can switch back to the rezound if i don't like the nexus....WOOT WOOT its funny cause they still have no word while i was at costco earlier and they showed me a demo unit of the nexus (drools).....and they will be selling it this thursday 12/15....i hope it comes out on the 15th

For me, its because my phone is a tool, not a status symbol. I feel with the iPhone people talk about it because its the "in" thing, device whatever. For me I use my phone, I put it away. I customize it to suit my needs, etc. But I don't feel i have to brag about, show everyone all the time

On another note, anyone else having trouble connecting to the site? I switched to my Droid because the main page keeps loading without the stylesheet. Looks like something from the Netscape days
