You know, I keep hearing everyone saying their Droid is dead. Mine is scuffed up a bit, and the power button doesn't press down as well as it used to (but still works), but the device itself it working just as well as it always has. I'm giving it to my Dad when I get my GN. I guess I just lucked out on my Droid.

My wife and I must be lucky too. Both of us got our Droids on launch day, never had any issues with either of them. Both are a bit scratched up on the bezel, but nothing major. Mine has certainly been dropped a couple times (oops), fortunately not onto concrete or tile. Don't know how bad my wife's has been knocked around, considering she works crew on an ambulance, it certainly hasn't been handled with kid gloves. My only issue is that it's a bit slow with the current apps, and a few just outright don't run on it.

My OG has served me well too. Every time it started to lag a bit, I would just flash a new rom on it. It has some scuffs, but I have never had a phone last me 2 years like this has. I hope the Nexus serves me just as well. I WILL be getting a case for the Nexus though. I ran the OG naked it's whole life.

The corporate store in my area said their launch was at 12:15pm tomorrow. I called twice. Just to be sure. The kisok at the mall said they will have at when they open at 9am. This messes up my original plan, but that's okay...just thought I'd share. You might want to call just to be sure.

I'm in good shape. I live in Alexandria and there's a BJ's w/Verizon inside about a mile from my house. Best case scenario. If that falls through, I guess I'll brave the ole Fashion Centre
