Realistically, no. I'd probably still get the Nexus if it came out first week of January. It's not like there will be another Nexus device being released immediately, which is something you can't say about any other phone.

I imagine we'll see it "by the end of this year", which is what was promised originally.

Good question and I really don't know. I am thinking I might pick up the rezound if nothing is announced by December 1 after I get off work. Excellent display, removable battery/sim card, and there should be an unlocked bootloader real soon. The only thing it's lacking is NFC, Google updates, and ICS. The last two can be had by custom roms and relying on the dev community. I just dont see me waiting until after Christmas.. The only downside is the free earbuds.. I ordered the Jbud 4's off Amazon yesterday for 20 bucks and really hate to waste them.. I guess I could send them to Samsung/Google as a consolation prize.

Tegra 3 and quad core phones are so close you can taste them if a quadcore phone gets a release date before the Nexus comes out im waiting.

I just spoke with someone at Verizon headquarters and there is no release date yet....

I already went againt my orginal cut-off date of end of Nov...I will not push this any futher than End of Dec.

After 2011, I will either be a Google Galaxy Nexus owner, or a Iphone 4 (or 4S) owner

Hell, I may not even be a VZW customer after this stupid crap they pulling

I really have no cutoff date. With this device you know your getting lots of hackers. Thats a thing these others phones arnt getting. Even a year from now this device will be ahead of the game. Just like the D1.... Roms keep it going. If i was just after a phone maybe id have a cutoff. But the whole system around that phone is what i want most. And even if you didnt get it when it came out dec 1st biggrin it will be great because the modders would have done their magic to it and started their roms in that period of time.

I can tell you that if it's released in January I will be demanding that they honor my $50 Living Social voucher, as they officially annouced a month ago that the Galaxy Nexus would be released before the end of the year.

With the kind of leaks we are getting about this phone, and since they inevitability end up here, this is kinda like facebook. :biggrin: The whole tech community has been diminished to this surround VZ phone. Kinda pathetic huh?

Yea I have to agree with you guys... I was super excited for this phone coming out. I have been way more patient (than most you guys here haha) about the release of this thing... waited end of OCT... most of Nov. and it Has not really been a big deal.
The one thing that DOES annoy me, is Verizon decides to stay 100% quiet about it. I remember same thing happened when I waited for my thunderbolt. I guess bottomline is I dont trust VZW if this phone is going to come out DEC 1st (my bday :icon_ banana or DEC 31st... I was going to tough it out with my Thunderbolt which runs fine, except for the fact i get 3-4 hrs battery life on a 1700 battery. But now like i said I dont trust verizon and im currently looking a which of the newer ROMs out there will give me the best battery life for my phone (which i really did not want to mess with anymore) :icon_evil:
