The Ultimate Droid 2.0.0 - Droid 1

I just conducted an experiment...

When I first flashed the rom, I wiped data and cache. Had some bugs, almost all the ones described in this thread. So, I decided to go back to UD 1.0.0 and reflash 2.0.0. This time, I didn't wipe data or cache, I just slapped it over 1.0.0. Same bugs.

Conclusion: it apparently doesn't make a difference whether you wipe data and cache or not, but I did notice the same bugs in both scenarios.

Nonetheless, the pros still outweigh the cons. If the next version of UD fixes these bugs, then this rom will be absolutely PERFECT. Still a great rom though - the best so far and I won't be changing, but will be anticipating the next update.

I don't know. My Droid and I love UD, but this one is not quite ready for prime time, too many issues (real bugs, even if small), and I really do not like the incoming call screen, I think I'll sit this one out for a while and see what happens.

should i flash this or stick with UD1?

I like it so far only experiencing one or two bugs nothing major. The new incoming call screen needs alittle more work but all n all a great ROM.

On another note can anyone recommend a kernel that is working great with UD 2.0? I have been using Chevy's Kernels for almost every ROM but I have read some posts that people are having boot loops with Chevy's kernel.

I had boot loops with Chevy kernels until I downloaded his latest 1.1 lv kernel and it works great!

I'm having a problem now :(.....I tried turning on wifi, and it screwed up and now continues to go into a boot loop....I was able to pull up settings and then I see that it was stuck on "Wifi turning off..." and now it keeps rebooting...Can anyone send me a a wifi fix, I don't want to have to reinstall everything :(

Dang, I'm feeling pretty lucky I guess :)

The ONLY issue I have had so far is the camera and the fix posted earlier too care of that. Now I don't use bluetooth so cannot comment on that.

Using Clockwork, wiped data/cache 3x then wiped cache alone 3x then formated boot, system, data, cache. Wiped Dalvix cache 3x. (Yeah, yeah, I know I'm anal)

Installed UD2 (not as update.zip but just chose it from SD card)
Let it boot and sync
Installed Redman's Urban theme (chose from SD card)
Reinstalled apps with Titanium and dancedroid

HB

EDIT: I forgot to add Chevy's ULV 1.25

After spending a day with 2.0, I decided to go back and restore my 1.0 back-up.

I could have dealt with the little bugs (till they were fixed) but the ROM was messing up the phone part of my phone (not being able to answer/make calls, people not being able to hear me etc.) and that's not good.

The Bluetooth problems were also troubling.

2.0 will be the hottest ticket in town once the kinks have been ironed out.

I'll be back!!

I've just downloaded 2.0 and I might say, Its pretty nice on my phone. I really dont oc that much. The stock kernel is fine with me. The only gripe that I had was the top transparent black bar . I could tell that it was sort of blacked out. But then IcculusX came out with a mm theme to make it transparent. I think personally think imo, that UD looks mighty sexy with the mm applied without a theme. :)

I installed over UD1.0 w/o wiping everything works great, few minor things here and there, but a thing that almost broke my phone is that when my alarm sounds in the morning from my dock pushing the camera button usually makes it stop, well IT DOESN'T NO MORE and i almost broke my phone smashing it to the dock to make it stop

Can't wait to install this on my replacement Friday. People seem to be having some issues but hopefully I turn out okay. UD worked perfect on the Droid I have now so looking forward to having the same outcome with an update and new phone

I have only 2 issues, otherwise great Rom

1. I can't remove bluetooth and gps from the "notification bar widget". Even with all unchecked these 2 still show up. So i can only get 4 in the bar that I choose.

2. Pandora FC's. Won't even open the app just FC's. Tried with the bowers transparent signed Pandora, tried Renaming app to Pandora.apk and pushing to system/app and tried market version, all install fine but FC when I try and open. I even tried clearing data/cache in Pandora, no luck.

Any thoughts?

Wiped data and Cache before flashing Rom btw.

Don't use pandora....but the power widget work for me. I can put whatever I want. Just tries with all unchecked and only showed airplane mode. But checked any other 6 and only those showed up.

I did the same...but when I restored my backup I lost almost off of the apps I have on my SD. Is there a trick to restoring an Advanced Nandroid that I missed?

Can't wait for the bugs to be fixed, because I can tell UD 2 is going to be sweet!

Just tried again. Unchecked all, bluetooth and gps still show up and then I'm only able to select 4 others. If i check bluetooth or gps I get 2 bluetooth or gps icons in the bar. weird
