[Theme] 928Droid "Black Glass" 2.2 for Froyo - Update.zip - MetaMorph - Back to Stock

I'm using 929droidblackglass2-2-update.zip there's no 84b at the end before it say update.zip like you say. Could that be it.

I was having problems with the zip update that did not have 84b. I tried the other one that is for Froyo 84b and it loaded with no problem. I am running BB .04.

hello i was seeing the above post. last night i tried to install the 928 black glass update.
i have tc rom which was seemless for 928s 2.2 i tried to install 2.284b over the latter in hopes to get some more goodies. first did not wipe any thing, caught in the moto boot. next cleared cashe caught in the boot loader screen. I wonder should i wipe data and cashe. then try. last night was a bit tense for the longest time i could not boot into recovery so packed it in at 1am edt. question if i wipe data and cashe will my apps and set up still be there? or do i need to get a fresh rom then install. sorry for the long winded question. also hope this is the apropriate place to post.

I see a lot of people having problems installing this.

Make sure you are dowloading the right update.zip Just cause you are running android 2.2 Froyo does not mean you are running FRF84B you could have FRF57, i think there was anothe too. Check what the Rom you are running is using for a base and download the correct file.

I would think you should always install a theme over a clean version of the Rom. Saying that I did install over Blue Energy theme and it worked fine.

What I normally do is:
1. Install Rom and get all apps and homescreens set up and working
2. Backup
3. Install theme Make sure everything works still
4.Backup
5. Now If I want to change themes I just restore my clean backup and install new theme.

If you wipe data and cache you will lose all your apps and set up. But if you have Titanium Backup you can just restore all your apps, data and settings. The only thing you willhave to redo is your homescreens.

I wanted to thank you for your theme. Running 84B and have tried a few themes, but yours has been the best by far.
Also wanted to note, that I did not have any problems with the install.

You are correct. he has 2 versions. One is for the FRF57 and the other is FRF84B (Froyo based Deodexed ROMs). I tried both versions on different roms and both worked. I am currently only BB v.4 which is from source. The first boot takes longer than normal. Once your up its a sick theme dancedroid

Thats exactly what I do too........:icon_ banana:

I just installed the Bugless Beast v.04 and then installed the Blackglass theme for that version and noticed that the cool battery icon that I had when I had black glass installed with the Onix version is now just the plain battery with the number in it. I have looked in the Android Themes folder and cannot find the blackglass theme anywhere. Is there any way to change that basic battery back to the cool round multi-colored one like in the picture and that I had before?

Im gonna reinstall BB .04 then install the theme in SPrecovery I think Rom Manager was the prob Thanks for replying I wanted to know if it was me or the theme......Jeff

i did not apply fresh rom. however i am running frf57. i assumed that instructions said ok for 84b meant that frf57 was ok because i found update for 57 and 84 followed the link and it lead me to the update at the bottom of 928s page. would you suggest i grab the newest build 84b? then use the update. my thought was the update was just a few more goodies for either 57 or 84. guess i was wrong. your suggestions as to what 84 rom would be the best, casue this them is unbelivable. my friend are so jelious with their i phone 4's
