Also, I think Mbk was right about different themes not jiving with each other. When you redid UD 2.0, you basically reset to a stock version. Thus allowing you to install the theme without complication.

I think me, along with Tom, being in on the inital install had someting in there that caused a conflict. Doing a clean install, with no remnant of the previous files, allowed it to go through without a hitch.
