[THEME]~RELEASE~ **RENOVATED** for MULTIPLE ROMS

Stupid question time because my brain is failing me today. Are the themed facebook, twitter, and gmail on your site recovery installs or standard .apk installs? I know LP is a recovery install. If the others are as well, I'm having a tough time deciding then on whether to update since Sapphire doesn't include stuff like GMail in the ROM anymore so it's easy to update when new versions come out.

you install the apps like you would a theme ... FB and Twitter are included in the Sapphire 2.0 theme FYI.

And I try to get to the apps ASAP when they are updated ...

Ok thanks for the info on the apps. So it sounds like the only additional thing I need is GMail then? Good to know you will be on top of the apps updates So many times a theme developer will put out a nice theme with nicely themed apps and when app updates hit, you never see any updates for them. I could understand if it was "Bob's Calculator app" but it's always big stuff like GMail lol.

Any chance you will be able to get, theme, and replace the market in 2.0 with the new one? I know there's a new one out but haven't been able to experience it yet and I see a lot of posts in the Sapphire forum about people trying to replace it without much luck. I don't know if that's something heavily tied into the ROM or if it's just a matter of someone knowing what they are doing.

I can not find a market that has worked for me yet ... if I do I don't think I'd include it in the theme (too many problems). I'd more then likely offer it separately.

Pssst Sapphire 2.0.2 is out, not sure if you saw it or not but I'm guessing there's at least some changes that need to be made to the 2.0 version since new Market is in and also there is supposed to be a power control widget in the pulldown now

I've got it just about done (new widget icons, new settings icons and the new market) ... I am about to package it up and take it for a test spin!

Question for everyone

It has been brought to my attention that some people have been getting bombarded with pop ups on media fire while trying to download the theme. Is this a common problem with everyone?

If it is I will switch to mega uploader ... the only reason I didn't use that to begin with was because I always hated waiting the 30 seconds to download
But that, IMO, is better then being plagued by pop ups!

I'm not getting bombarded, but sometimes it acts funky on the phone. If I use Firefox I don't get popups. Also I learned yesterday I can right click the download link and chrome-to-phone it and then I don't even have to deal with the website it just starts downloading. Nice little tip for you guys

Thanks for the LP update. So I have to ask a, maybe, obvious question. With cvpcs moving to CM and the GEM series essentially at an end, is there a chance you might start theming CM7 once it releases? I'm just assuming at this point that I'll move to CM but who knows.

In a lot of ways themes are what drives me to a certain ROM over another and your theme plus Sapphire was the perfect match. Great theme and great ROM together. I seem to remember you ran Sapphire in the past but I think you're on something else now right? Just wondering what & why & what reasons you like it better?

I've thought about this myself I am not too sure. I supported Sapphire cause, 1) It's a great, stable ROM and 2) I run it . But I must say out of all the ROMs this theme is available for, Sapphire always had the lowest d/l totals. Now, that in no way is me complaining ... just stating a fact. I was more than happy to support Sapphire regardless of how many used my theme with it.

I guess what it boils down to is: if enough people ask, I will be more than happy to oblige!

Well, thanks for the compliment ... I know you've been a loyal user and I appreciate it!

As for your question, at the moment I am on Sourcery (v1.3) ... one of the devs (eagle1967) invited me in to be a BETA tester. So, I figured while I waited on Sapphire 2.0 to drop, I'd help them out. Even in the BETA stages it was very snappy and responsive. There are features/additions that I've never seen in any other ROM. But, above all it just continued to get better and better the further into the testing I got. By the time it dropped I was hooked ... fast, stable and (running) cool is always a good combo :tongue:
Plus the devs, eagle & GFlam, are extremely cool (not saying other aren't) and really want to put the best "product" out there.
