Think I got a Lemon

I have had nothing but problems with my Droid since I purchased it on Saturday. Two times now it has locked on the screen that keeps blinking "droid" and the "an eyeball" and I can't get it to do anything else. Had issues running apps, using the browser, and several other things in the short time I have had the phone. Going today to try and get them to give me a totally different droid, hope the next one works better or I will be one pissed off person.

Only twice? Wait until you root it.... :)

Call vz before going to the store to get them to auth the exchange so you won't have to deal with the minority "twit store manager"

Good luck, sounds like you are doing the right thing returning it. If you haven't already done so you may have wanted to reset to original sw condition to see if some app was causing the problem, I think the VZW technician will do this anyway.

He actually already did this on Sunday and it started doing the same thing last night again. I sure hope I just got a bad one and the next one will be better.

sometimes a phone will work better if you factory reset it. alot of stores will actually require this when you go in.

sometimes an app can cause problems on the device. be cautious of the apps that you're installing and be sure to read the "what it affects" statements.

Guys what I am saying is that someone already did the Factory Reset on Sunday, he worked on the phone for 2hrs. Now it is doing the same thing to me, really pisses me off if you want to know the truth. I have been to the VZ store three times in the past 5 days for issues with this phone, by the way I haven't even downloaded that many apps (maybe 4). LEMON I HOPE

Gracie, I know the frustration things like this create. If not probing too deep, what are the apps that were downloaded? Even if this doesn't solve the issue on your phone until it gets replaced, it will help others to understand what results can mean with certain combinations of applications and if replacement will solve the issue.

most likely a lemon. remove your batter and look at the sticker. what's your build date? should be something like 39/09. 39 is the week it was built, 09 is the year.

some of the 39 and 40 models had weird problems at first. the 49s + seem to be solid.

if this store is giving you a hard time (and it's actually a service center), go to a different service center.

i've had a 39/09 and two 41/09s. my wife ended up with a 45/09. both my 41/39s went back because of various issues. i wouldn't be surprised if you do, in fact, have a lemon.

that have you on file, so even if they're being difficult about the process, you can make a case for an exchange.

in your first 30 days, it should be an easy process. i had to go to two different service centers to get decent support.
